First Presbyterian Church is a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Synod, a small but historic body that was founded in 1782. Our local congregation was established in 1914.

We are a community Church made up of people from a variety of different Churches and backgrounds. We have found unity in our common trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and hold up the Bible as the ultimate authority for faith and practice. We adhere to the Westminster Standards as our comprehensive statement of faith.

The driving force or purpose of our Church is reflected in the Vision Statement that we have adopted: The Vision of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales, Florida, is to be a Christ-centered fellowship of believers devoted to glorifying God through true worship, personal evangelism, discipleship and servanthood.
