Prayer and Bible study are the bedrock of each of our Women's Circles. Our Circles are made up of women of all ages, from all walks of life, and meet in private homes or at the Church. Each Circle has its own different 'personality', but all of the meetings include a time of study, prayer and some socialization. Some Circles have special mission emphases such as support of nursing students in foreign mission fields, ministry for our college students who are away from home, a 'shoe closet' to provide new shoes for youngsters in this area who need new shoes for school but can't afford them, etc. Further the Women of the church (WOC) as a whole generously support projects through the Lake Wales Care Center. In addition, the WOC support and provide receptions for any church need, such as funerals, weddings, Bible School and Pageants.

We are also the 'cookie brigade' whenever treats are requested.

Four times a year, all the Circles meet for brunch on a Saturday morning to enjoy a special speaker and fellowship with other Circle sisters.

  • Mother's Forum Second Sun. 4:00 PM Location: Rockness Home (402 E Park Ave.)
  • Mothers' Forum is an arena for mothers to discuss issues vital to raising children and the pursuit of one's own personal growth. The meetings are in an informal setting-at the Church Manse- and led by Miriam Rockness. Sunday Afternoon Tea Time provides opportunity for fellowship with other mothers and helps to create an informal environment for the following interactive discussion centered around a specific topic or book. The diversity of age and life-stage of mothers-and grandmothers-provides encouragement and a healthy life perspective. Childcare is provided at the church nursery by our well-trained staff. Join other mothers on the second Sunday of each month, from 4:00 till 5:30, for 'tea and talk' as we seek to develop as parents and persons!
