MOPS Ministry
(Mother of Preschoolers)
This is a chance for all our young mothers to gather twice a month during the day (and/or once each month at night) to enjoy fellowship with other mothers while learning useful skills and techniques to help with raising healthy, well-adjusted children. But the fun doesn't stop there. We also try to treat our mothers to some much needed emotional refreshment and fun times for the moms. Past treats have included: Fancy Teas, Fondue Brunch, Fashion Show & Color Typing, Massages, etc. Babysitting is provided in our nursery.

Child Care (MOPPETS)…is provided by an excellent volunteer group (Women of the Church). Child care will be at all morning meetings. We ask that all children be placed in their correct room prior to MOPS meeting. Infants younger than 3 months are welcome to stay with their moms. However, if your baby becomes fussy, we ask that you step outside the meeting so the other moms will not be distracted. Thanks!

ILLNESS: We appreciate your cooperation in seeing that all the children are cared for in a healthy and safe environment. Out of consideration for the families involved in our MOPPETS program, our teachers have been asked not to accept into the nursery any child who is ill or appears ill. If your child becomes ill while in the care of our nursery workers you will be notified. As much as we will miss you, please do not bring your child to MOPPETS if he/she has any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours:
- Cold
- Colored mucus, runny nose
- Fever or earache
- Exposed to any communicable disease
-Please let a steering team know if you child shows symptoms of a contagious illness such as, chicken pox or pink eye so other moms may be notified to watch their children for symptoms.
- Flu or flu-like symptoms
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Wheezing or difficulty breathing
No medications of any kind will be administered by a childcare worker. If a child needs medications it must be kept by the mom until needed and then administered by the mother.
